Refunds & Fees Policy

1. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable

Donations are voluntary contributions to a Recipient's cause. Because funds are made available to Recipients, donations are non-refundable once made, except where required by law or in cases of confirmed fraud or unauthorized charges. If you believe a donation was fraudulent or unauthorized, contact us at hello@helpahuman.io and we will review it in good faith.

2. The community donation to launch

If you are invited to start a Campaign through an existing Campaign, you may be asked to first make a one-time voluntary donation (currently $25.00) to that introducing Campaign. This is a genuine donation to that Recipient's cause — it counts toward their goal and is treated like any other donation, including being non-refundable. It is not a payment to us.

3. Platform service fees

• Launch fee: a one-time service fee (currently $25.00) to set up and host your Campaign. This is paid to the Platform for services, not a donation.
• Ongoing access: a recurring service fee (currently $25.00/month or $250.00/year) applies only after your Campaign has raised $500.00. If your Campaign has not raised $500.00, no recurring fee applies after launch.
• No cut of donations: we do not take any percentage of the donations your Campaign receives. (Third-party payment processors, such as Stripe, charge their own processing fees on card transactions.)

Fee amounts may change; the current amounts are always shown at sign-up and on your dashboard, and the amounts above reflect the current settings.

4. Service-fee refunds

Platform service fees (launch and recurring) are generally non-refundable because they pay for services already provided (hosting and operating your Campaign). If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review it in good faith.

5. Fee waivers

We may waive any or all fees for certain Campaigns at our discretion (for example, hardship cases). A waiver applies only to the specific Campaign it is granted for.

6. Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can help. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of the associated account while we investigate.
